Aiming Toward a Higher Industrial City
“Fujiminori”is the grape symbol of Fujisawa
Fujisawa has developed as an industrial city since around 1960, when large enterprises launched their plants in Fujisawa. With recent times, they have restructured their plants, shifted production overseas, and extended their research, development and manufacture for testing in Fujisawa.
Large areas of rice paddies in the suburbs of Fujisawa contribute to harmonize urban space with greenery.
Fujisawa has also put effort into promoting a suburban intensive agriculture that mainly cultivates vegetables, fruits, flowers and livestock.
